GROW YOUR OWN/ASPIRING TEACHERS, REGISTER HERE

Our "Grow Your Own" sessions are for current HCISD employees with a bachelor's degree or working towards a bachelor's degree (completing last year or semester) who have a desire to teach. During the sessions, we will provide useful information on Educator Preparations Programs, certification requirements, interview process and tips, and support to future HCISD teachers! CONGRATULATIONS GROW YOUR OWN GRANT, CYCLE 6 CANDIDATES!!!

HCISD was awarded a Grow Your Own Grant for a total of $111,000. This stipend will go towards tuition and certification costs for 14 current HCISD paraprofessionals and permanent substitutes with a desire to teach in teacher-shortage areas.
